IMPORTANT READ BELOW:

There are VERY specific directions for each module on this website. PLEASE READ THEM as you are working.

I am grading today and tomorrow as you have class and have seen several missing assignments already. This goes in your gradebook as a MISSING ASSIGNMENT and a zero until completed.

Remember for the following modules there are SPECIFIC assignments to complete and you should COMPLETE ALL OF THEM in order to receive full credit for the modules:

Cyber Safety

Social Media

Word Processing

Website Evaluation

App Inventor

Graphic Design

The following modules are complete directly within a program so it will be very important you are taking screenshots of your progress and placing in your journal. You should be doing this anyway but it will be VERY IMPORTANT since I am gone and grading them from home.

Scratch

Blockly

Interland

Robotics

Pixar

  • You should be completing about a module a week.
  • I will tell you when to go to your next module.
  • If you finish before it is time to rotate click on the "What to do if I'm done", but if you are doing a good job most people probably won't finish early as we do not have as much class time!
  • Don't forget to be placing all of your information and screenshots of your work in your journal!

3. You will have the rest of this week to work on your module and then I will meet with you so you can show me all of your work.

Welcome to Interactive Media!

This is a technology exploratory class that will expose you to many different aspects of technology!
The class is face paced and will move through 15 different modules in the 18 weeks of class we have so it ends up being about a module a week!

Today's objectives:
1. Bookmark our class blog on your Chromebook.   hesstonim.blogspot.com

2. Create and share a Google Doc journal with staci.hansen@usd460.org

Title it: HourLastnameFirstname capitalizing appropriately. NO SPACES.

March 30, 2020

Hi Interactive Media students!

First, I miss you all!

Don't forget to REPLY to my email that you received and read this so I can keep track.

Well, we were only about half way done with our semester, this class, and our modules!
So far you have already completed 6/15 of our modules.
Obviously it would be unreasonable of me to have you complete ALL OF the rest of them!
So, we will only be doing a few more, I'm not quite sure how many yet, but we will be going slower.

So, for now, focus on completing ONE module at a time as I tell you.
Module 1 Robotics is obviously out and Module 15 was a choice module.

My hope is that we can get through a couple in the last 7 or so weeks of school we have.

So, to get started, please CHOOSE ONE module to complete.
We will see how it goes and then...
I will post again in a couple weeks when it is time to complete another.

Document in your journal as you had done in class and then....
just EMAIL ME: staci.hansen@usd460.org
you have everything done and documented for that module and I will put a score in for you.

This class actually lends itself pretty well to work at home, the directions are all on the blog and very detailed, but if you have any questions feel free to email me!

1st Module Success!

Great job on completing your 1st module!
I saw many really good projects, including an informative very professional looking poster by Meredith, Eva and Elsie's robot, and Isabella's Scratch softball game.
I think most of you got a good start on Module 2 today but since I was meeting with people all hour, if you have any questions please let me know! I enjoyed getting to visit with each of you today and hear about your projects.
GREAT start to class for the year!
